If your Office or Microsoft 365 purchase came with a product key, Below you will find step by step instruction to redeem it. Enter your key to download and install Office or renew your Microsoft 365 subscription.
Example of an Office or Microsoft 365 product key:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
To redeem a new purchase : Microsoft 365, Office 2021, Office 2019, Office 2016, and Office 2013
Step 1: Go to www.office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup.
Step 2: Sign-in to the office with Personal Email ID (NOT WORK Credentials) i.e. Gmail, Hotmail e.t.c.
if login in 1st time, then click on create a account and use your GMAIL account
Step 3: Enter your product key, without hyphens
If you see the error This product key has already been used when you enter your product key on www.office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup, this means your product key has already been redeemed and is no longer needed.
Instead, use your Microsoft account to sign in to account.microsoft.com and install your Office product.
Install or reinstall Office
Step 4: Click on Confirm -> now you will be redirected to installation page
Step 5: This page will contain all the available software to download
After installation, login with same Personal Email ID.
